Are my charcoal bags ready to use or do I need to charge them in the sun first?
- They are ready to use right away.
How long do the Charcoal Odor Absorbing Bags last for?
- Up to 2 years. We recommended recharging them in the sun every month or so to boost their effectiveness.
How long does it take for the bags to eliminate odors?
- It depends on how strong the smell is. The stronger the smell the longer it will take. For weak smells you should notice a difference within a few days
Should I do anything before using the bags?
- For best results you should clean out the area you want to deodorize, e.g remove any items that are causing the smell (old clothing, shoes, food residue), then wipe down/vacuum the surfaces. Once that is done, use the bags to absorb any lingering odors.
The bags have been in place for over a week and the smell remains. What should I do?
- This likely means that whatever is causing the smell is still present. Make sure you have cleaned the area before using the bags, as explained above. If you have done that and the smell remains, try identify the cause of the smell again. For example, is it coming from a different location than where you have place the bags?
